Lucia Soto-Chin of WAWI, Inc has been awarded with the InnovaCreate Woman Leadership Award 2023. This award is intended to recognize the achievements of a women who lead, inspire and motivate. Our staff admired and respected the resilience of Lucia Soto-Chin, her leadership and her humility to advance and innovate within the WAWI, Inc Program.

Lucia (Lucy) Soto-Chin is founder and president of WAWI, Inc . It is a co-processing facility for Ready-to-eat Protein based products. The business has been develop in collaboration with PRIMEX and InnovaCreate organizations. Looking for manufacturing excellence, the team has applied the lean methodology to reduce waste and increase productivity. The manufacturing processes have been designed using cGMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) and CFR 21 Part 110 regulatory guidance. Lucy and her team are developing manufacturing standards, cleaning procedures and cleaning verifications to ensure food safety, equipment-facility cleanness and best sanitization practices for multiples Ready-to-Eat Products. She shares her story form the Kitchen to the market in her book "De la Cocina a la Producción"
